# 2884 Trying to Delete a Row When a DataSet Is Empty Can Cause #8965 Index Page Buffers Corrupt Error

If a dataset is empty due to a range, filter, or not having a records because of deletions by other users, then trying to Delete the current row can incorrectly cause an #8965 "Index page buffers corrupt" error message.

The table is not actually corrupt when this error occurs. The problem is an incorrect error message. The correct error message should be #8709 "No current record in the table".
