# 3561 BLOB Handle Handling in Engine Not Working Properly in 32-bit 4GB Address Space or 64-bit Usage

I’ve just started looking at making some or our web applications large address aware to use 4GB memory on 64bit versions of Windows and immediately got a failure in my ‘top down’ allocation test with a DBISAM exception.

Comments

The BLOB handles were still using the old 32-bit 2GB address space architecture and were not updated properly for 64-bit or 32-bit 4GB address space usage. This code has now been updated to use the proper handle-translation code that will enable it work fine in such environments.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 6/26/2012 in version 4.33 build 1
