# 3749 64-bit ODBC Driver Crashes when Trying to Configure Data Sources on Windows 8
The 64-bit ODBC Driver experiences a fatal crash when trying to add or configure a data source on Windows 8. The driver operates fine for data sources that already exist or for direct driver connection strings.

The problem was caused by an issue with FastMM4 being enabled when it shouldn't be for the 64-bit compiler used to compile the ODBC driver.
