# 4790 Cannot Access BLOB Fields in an OnFilterRecord Event Handler
With a client/server session, when reading a TMemoField.AsString (or .Value for that matter) I am receiving a "DBISAM Engine Error #11308 An invalid or unknown request was made to database server".

Several changes were made as part of a fix in 4.48 Build 7 for an issue with server callbacks calling other API calls that would corrupt the internal state of a session (Fix is in incident report #4765). The BLOB access within OnFilterRecord server callbacks was accidentally disabled as part of this fix.
