# 2909 Using EXTRACT Function with Sensitive Query Result Set in Remote Session Can Cause Compilation Error

The following statement generates the error message:

ElevateDB Error #700
An error was found in the computed column expression at line 1 and column 20 (Expected expression but instead found ))

no matter what table/database I use, but only when using a remote session.

SELECT EXTRACT(<ValueToExtract> FROM <ColumnName>) FROM <TableName>

Comments

The expression being generated by the ElevateDB Server for the purposes of compilation on the client was improperly-formed.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 2/12/2009 in version 2.02 build 8
