# 4113 TDataSet Descendant Components Not Displaying Data Under Lazarus

EDB and Lazarus v1.2.6/fpc 2.64 on new install in both 32/64 bit

Dataset values are not being returned in v 2.17/18 and later versions for lazarus, but works in v2.16?

Displays contents of records for 2.16 correctly

fails to display contents of records for 2.17/2.18
The field values don't appear to be returned, however the contents of memo fields (table.fieldbyname(..).AsString) are.

To test:
Drop a session/database/table/DBGrid on form at design-time 
and connect (characterset ansi) with remote server in IDE.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 11/15/2014 in version 2.18 build 2
