# 4132 Splitters Can Be Moved in the IDE so that the Associated Panels Are No Longer Accessible

If the splitter above the messages area in the IDE is moved towards the bottom of the screen the messages area disappears. Attempting to move the splitter up only resizes the status area and not the messages area. The messages area can no longer be displayed. Even selecting the Messages option in the View menu item does nothing.

The messages area can only be re-displayed by setting the "Messages Panel Height" value to greater than zero in the [IDE] section in the ewbide.ini file located under AppData. This may also be necessary in any *.wbc project file that was open at the time the messages area was shrunk.
