A few times I've seen rice pudding with a creamy custard - I'm sorry I just don't get that!!??? His BBC show with Kitchen Nightmares is great. I just saw his new show of the same for the US... Not the same feel and too much melodrama. I do say that I think Ramsey has a wussy pallet in terms of heat / spice. I also heard that the Brit's are discovering the simple things, such as salt, peper and a collage of different things... called herbs for their food now. and constructive, I think. Hell's Kitchen, though, pales by comparison to Top Chef. Hell's Kitchen seems to have 5 minutes of true cooking, then the rest is just how to cook Ramsey's way. Top Chef... they actually cook and show their chops. will wake up your taste buds. I'm not a hot head, but enjoy heat when it makes the dish and I can still taste everything. Come to think of it... I don't think I've ever seen Ramsey ever pick up a pepper shaker.... hmmmmm.. On a different note.... Have you read Bordain's newest book? It's a bunch of excerpts from other stories and such. Really interesting and funny. He mentioned in the end of the book with "notes" on those stories from today's perspective, looking back and he mentioned, lol, not picking on the "ewok" so much anymore, since he's paid his dues.... But love his ranting on the "raw" movement spearheaded by Woody Harrelson. Funny stuff.
