# 1481 Manual Incorrect Describes VARCHAR Data Type as Fixed-Char Data Type

The manual incorrectly states that the VARCHAR SQL data type is a fixed-character data type, and the reverse for the CHAR, or CHARACTER, type.

Fixed Problem on 11/19/2003 in version 4.01 build 1
