# 1621 Calling a Server-Side Procedure Can Result in an AV
Calling a server-side procedure that does not exist can result in an AV. Also, returning BLOB parameters to a client session can cause an AV in some circumstances.

The AV caused by the BLOB parameters cannot be worked around. However, the AV caused by the server-side procedure not being defined on the server can be avoided by making sure that the server-side procedure exists.
