# 1703 Setting ixDescending in Index Options During TDBISAMIndexDefs Add Method Does Not Work

In using Bdetran.exe that comes with v4x of your DBISAM release, all DescendingFields will be lost after transferred the BDE table attached into DBISAM.

It doesn't happen to v3x of your DBISAM (with Bdetran.exe that comes with it).

Comments and Workarounds

Problem was exhibited with BDETRAN utility, but was a problem in the core TDBISAMIndexDefs Add method. The rule is that if the ixDescending option is set in a TDBISAMIndexDef object, then the DescFields property is set to the same as all of the fields in the index definition. If the DescFields property is set, then the ixDescending option is set in the Options property.

Fixed Problem on 5/26/2004 in version 4.06 build 1
