# 3250 Dependency Support in ElevateDB Manager Causes Major Slowdown with Remote WAN Connection

I am having some delay/refresh issues for a remote server that is making EDBM fairly unusable. Not sure if it is EDBM or the server, but I think it's EDBM. Even though I don't know, I want to say it's related to the new dependency support. Seems like whatever you click on in the treeview, it's off busy trying to detect something.

I'm in Northern CA; server is Southern CA; my machine and server machines are at 0% to 2% CPU usage; nothing heavy running on either.

The new dependency and SQL views were causing catalog queries to be fired off during the explorer treeview clicks, thus causing the performance issue. The Preferences dialog now has an option to turn off the dependency loading, and the SQL window no longer causes catalog queries when it is closed.
