# 4633 Using the $ Character in Certain Ways Can Cause a Source Parsing Error

I've found what appears to be a compiler/IDE bug. Certain files can get poisoned so they cause an error saying "$ is not a valid integer" when you go to compile or save.

Comments and Workarounds

The issue was with a standalone $ character as a token, which was being interpreted incorrectly as a valid integer.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 3/6/2018 in version 2.06 build 12
