# 4282 Background Property for TGroupPanel Control Modifies Client Area Only
Group containers don't honour the clTransparent for background fill. They just stay a slightly off-white solid colour.

The background property was controlling the background of the client area, which makes sense for *some* types of group boxes, but not the default interface that ships with EWB. A separate Client property will be added in the future to control just the client area interface.
