# 4517 TEdit Controls with InputType Set to itEmail Cause Error When Focused on Mobile
Setting the cursor in the EMail field results in an Error (screenshot attached). The InputType property of this control is set to itEmail.

The problem was caused by the UI layer trying to select all characters in the edit control on focus (a default behavior), which isn't permitted for certain input types.
