# 4535 Removing a Unit from a Project via the Project Manager Doesn't Work if Unit Closed

If you have a unit open in the IDE, then you close it, then try and remove it from the project manager, it says it's removed it but it's still there.

If you re-open the project so that you can see the tab again, then remove it from the project manager, it's seems to remove it correctly.

Comments and Workarounds

The workaround is to make sure that the unit is open before trying to remove it from the project via the project manager.
