# 4578 The TEditControl SelectionStart/SelectionEnd Properties are Documented Incorrectly

Since 2.06 there are properties SelectionStart and SelectionEnd for all edit controls. If no text is selected, SelectionStart = SelectionEnd holds and you get the index of the cursor. The help says it's 1-base but from my experience it's 0-based.

The manual has been corrected, and any issues with 1-based indexing and the SelectionStart/SelectionEnd properties have been corrected to reflect the proper information in the manual.
