# 4860 Dragging and Dropping Multple Components in the Component Navigator Can Cause an AV

With the Component Navigator Tree I can reorder components but is it possible to drag and drop a component so that it becomes the child of another component?

If I hold down <shift> or <alt> it just changes the order, and if I hold down <ctrl> I get an AV:

"Access violation at address 740F0146 in module 'comctl32.dll'. Read of address 00000004"

Comments

It's still not possible to drag and drop a component from one parent to another, but this issue was caused by a bug in the standard treeview control, and a workaround was implemented to stop the AV.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 7/25/2021 in version 3.02 build 1
