# 4882 Clicking the Add Column Button for the TGrid Control at Design-Time Results in Errors
If you click on the special design-time button for adding a new column to a TGrid control, the column isn't added properly and you will then see a series of errors in the IDE.

The issue was caused by changes to the event dispatching that didn't account for changes to the parent for a grid cell/column.
