# 4917 Editing DataSet Columns in the IDE When No Columns Exist Causes Access Violation
The following project has two forms, each with a TDataset, but I cannot edit their fields with the IDE.

For some reason, I get an error if I try to edit the field list on main form Dataset1.

"Access violation at address...."
