# 3339 ElevateDB Unicode ODBC Driver Truncating CLOB Columns When Read from Microsoft Word

I'm trying to use the ODBC driver to do a Word mail merge with a CLOB field containing at least 255 characters, and when I do this the text gets truncated at around 195 characters, yet if I connect to the table with Access (using the ODBC driver) everything is there. The CLOB is created as unicode, case insensitive.

I'm using the Unicode version of ElevateDB with Delphi 2009. For Word, I am using Word 2010.

Comments

The problem was with the ODBC driver doing an incorrect buffer length calculation for Unicode strings.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 6/25/2011 in version 2.05 build 10
