# 3442 Table Files Not Updated Properly if Old Catalog File Cannot Be Overwritten During ALTER TABLE

A problem occurs when ElevateDB cannot create EDBDatabse.edbcat.old for some reason (e.g the access to the file is not allowed due to antivirus, etc.) then because the alter statement is incomplete the RollBack procedure starts, in this procedure something goes wrong and not all files are restored correctly. This has as a result the database files to return error #100 when we try to access them.
