# 3474 Custom Error Codes/Messages For Columns Can Cause an AV with a Remote Session

I'm getting and AV when I try to insert a row with a null value for a column defined as NOT NULL, but only when there is a custom error message defined, and only when using a remote connection. If it's a local session or there is no custom error message defined, it works well.

The problem was caused by the ElevateDB Server returning a 0 instead of a proper error code to the client. Updating the ElevateDB Server alone will fix this issue.
